I am a 34DD typically but bought the 34E. Also petite so the top ties adjust nicely. My suggestion would be to purchase your normal band size but consider buying a cup size larger. You will be fully covered. It has a plastic line around the bottom to prevent slippage and the cups are more molded than padded so it hold up in water. This is a great bra for larger cup sizes.

With this Bra, the support does not come from pressing the breast tissue to the rib cage. The support comes from the seams and fabric which has almost no give, and little stretch. If the cup is too big, it won't work for you.
