When they say 3 letters like mdk mk2 nc5 ng6 etc, those are versions of the Verizon rom-basically the operating system you're starting. Ng6 was the update that just came out, nc5 before. If you go to settings ->more ->about phone you will see a line that says 'baseband version'.

This always starts with i545 (Verizon s4 model number) and the last 3 letters/numbers is what people refer to when they say ng6 or mdk etc Basically your best bet is to Odin back to nc5 using this: Root with towelroot, install safestrap 3.75, then install compatible Roms. Off the top of my head Roms that work are hyperdrive (using this right now) eclipse, echoe. Anything that says safestrap compatible in the android development section.
