Please let me know if you guys have any idea. In the mean while, I will do a search & let you guys know if I find it.

Also, I did get a download of the BMW TIS, but its in russian. Anyone know of how to change the language (note; I installed with the 'English' language option selected)? 7.6 Mc Tibia 8.60 Rar. So that makes the versions posted on the web and the file sharing networks pirated by definition. Unfortunately, you never really know what you are getting when you pull those down, and getting one in Russian-only doesn't surprise me in the least.

I'm not sure about the US, but here in the UK, the prices are sky-high. And I'll give you an example of how much I was quoted for the DVD. £423. There is certainly not enough to serve as a repair manual anyway.

You can download the files if you look in the right places, but they obviously aren't legal copies. As the people say, I doubt if they are legal copies. Kurt_92_318i Joined: 30 Nov 2004 Posts: 142 Location: Calhoun, Ga. USA Posted: Mon May 16, 2005 3:45 am Post subject: BMW TIS Request - English Version I bought one on Ebay and it really works! It is a 5cd set and is 90% functional. Some part numbers don't pop up and misc items but for US$12, I don't think it was a bad deal.

The package came with no return address from somewhere in Canada, the post mark just said Canada. As to exact legality, I can't say. Overall, it has info on E24, E30, E36 and many more, just enter your VIN and it gives you all sorts of data about your car. So if maybe the BMW TIS is not an option, what is? I agree that they aren't the best source for diagnostic tests and repair procedures, but still hold a lot of valuable information. Probably not $700.00 worth, though. I have found the Bentley manuals to be extremely helpful in learning, understanding, testing and repairing my BMWs. Hope this helps somewhat.

When You are getting parts by BMW deeler then they use ETK to find Your part and find out wich part nummber it has.

I doo speak German so German version on TIS ain't such problem for me. Still if I want to find a part and drawing of it it is sometimes very tricky. First You enter model of Your car and VIN then You have groups You have to choose from and then You can see tips and parts.

Differential was hard to find. I would like to have ETK though. I have to get myself Carsoft diagnosis software and Comm interface. Then I could see codes and all other info I need.
